5. HANDLING OF THE EQUIPMENT / INTENDED USE

Although the lamp is very sturdy, it should be treated with a certain amount of
care, because it contains electrical and optical equipment.
The lamp can be switched on and off at any interval.
Waterproof
Tested waterproof classification "IP68 1.1m, 31 minutes" means that the lamp can
withstand water from above without any harmful side-effect. It can be held up to
1.1 meters under water for up to 31 minutes.
Cleaning – do not disassemble unit for cleaning
Exterior surfaces should be cleaned with a soft, lint-free cloth and mild detergent.
Isopropanol and a microfiber cloth shall be used to perform the cleaning of the
filters. Disassembly voids warranty.
Temperature
Make sure the unit has good ventilation. Do not mount the unit in a closed
compartment and do not cover any part of the unit. Since the unit is cooled by
convection, remove all obstacles that prevent efficient air flow.
The maximum ambient temperature is 50° C (122° F).
Intended use
Intended use of the UV torches is to inspect an object by irradiating the surface
with UV emitted from the light source. The lights are specially designed to perform
Non Destructive Testing – Magnetic Particle Inspection or Penetrant Inspection.
The user should always wear UV blocking eye protection when using the UV light.
Charging instructions for external battery charger:
1. Unscrew the end cap of the torch and remove the battery.
2. Connect the AC adapter for the charger to a DC jack.
3. Connect the AC adapter circular DC jack to the charging dock.
4. Place the batteries in the charing dock by pushing them gently. Observe the
polarity of the batteries when inserting them into the charger. Misplaced
batteries can damage the charger.
5. When the LED of the charger is/turns green, the battery is fully charged.
