To show or hide your main menu icons, press

To make your main menu appearance either icons or

a text-based list, press
> Main Menu > View.

select by number
If you set your phone to display the menu as a
numbered list (see page 31), you can press the
number of the item to select it.
use shortcuts for lists
To go quickly to an item in a list (such as a list of
contacts, songs, albums, or playlists), press the first
letter of the item. For example, in a list of songs, to go
to a song called Paradigm, press P (or 7).

ring styles & alerts
Your phone rings and/or vibrates to notify you of an
incoming call or to signal certain other events. This
ring or vibration is called an alert.

2 Scroll to the desired ring style and press

Set alerts for Calls, Inbox, Voicemail, Alarms, Data Calls, File Transfer,
