You must ensure that no off-air signals are present at the predetermined DSG1 frequencies in the network territory. The output level of the DSG1 test signals must be set between 20 and 25 dB below the adjacent QAM channels' power level. The adjacent QAM channels' power level being used as a reference, it must be precisely measured using a QAM signal level meter or a spectrum analyzer that has a QAM channel power measurement feature.
4.2.1 FTP connection Once step “3.4 Internet Connection” has been completed, make sure the unit has access to the Internet and that FTP port 21 is open. This is required in order for the DSG1 to communicate with the CPAT FTP server.
Your computer is connected, or available directly through a standalone laptop computer with a DHCP server installed on it. The DSG1 exchanges files with the CPAT FTP server every 5 minutes. It looks for a parameter file (less than 1 Kb).
DSG1 units connected on the network. If several DSG1 units are found, the first DSG1 found is selected by default. To select a different DSG1, choose another DSG1 from the dropdown menu next to the “DSG1” button.
