Parameters and Their Settings
The following describes the function and provides the setting
range of each parameter.
Me PCM Set
This parameter switches the digitally sampled waveform. It can
be set in a range of 0 to 173.

value, the quicker the attack. This parameter can be set in a range

This parameter controls the pitch of a tone. It can be set ina
range of 0 to 49.

Mi Pitch
This parameter controls the overall pitch of the tone. A greater
positive value increases the pitch from standard, while a nega-
tive value lowers the pitch. A setting of zero sets the pitch to the
standard setting for the selected tone. This parameter can be set
in a range of 64 to +63.

MH Level
This parameter controls the overall volume of the tone. The gr
er the value, the greater the volume. Setting a level of zero me
that the tone does not sound at all. This parameter can be se

This parameter controls changes in the volume of the tone

This parameter controls the stereo center point when using t
keyboard's built in speakers. A greater positive value moves t
center point further to the right, while a negative value move:
to the left. This parameter can be set in a range of ~64 to +63,
The Synthesizer Mode pan pot value is based on the pan f
value set in the Mixer's Parameter Edit Mode (page E-20) as t
center position (0). Changing the setting to a positive val
moves the center point to the right, while a negative value mov
the center point to the left. . .

User Tone Creation Hints
The following hints provide helpful advice on making user to
creation a bit quicker and easier.
Use a preset tone that is similar to the one you are trying to ©
ate.

Whenever you already have a rough idea of the tone youa
trying to create, it is always a good idea to start with a pres
tone that is similar. If you want to use a layered tone, start 0
with a 2DCO tone.
Determine the most important parameter.
The PCM Set and Amp Envelope Set parameters are the maj
factors that determine the overall personality of a tone. Start o
with these two parameters to get the general sound you wai
and then use the other parameters to add the finishing touche
Experiment with various different settings.
There are no real rules about what a tone should sound like. L
your imagination run free and experiment with different comt
nations. You may be surprised at what you can achieve.
