How to set up in your car (continue)
Attach the Remote to the installation location (step 1) using the other side of the
3M tape
Remove this remote
To remove the CarHome Button Remote, you will need to peel off the 3M 4905 VHB
tape. We recommend visiting the 3M website (www.3m.com) for guidance on the best
methods to remove 3M 4905 VHB
Change battery
1. Proceed to detach the remote into two parts.
2. Replace the battery by gently pushing out the old battery from the battery slot and replacing
it with a new battery.
NOTE.
Using CR2023 and BR2023 batteries for the best controller performance.
Passcode ON or OFF
By default, the CarHome Button Remote is set to passcode OFF. If you want to turn the
passcode ON, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the
button (about 6 seconds) until the LED blinks quickly. Then release
the

2. Enter your password. If this is the first time passcode is turned ON the default factory
password is 222 ( press the

To turn OFF the passcode, repeat the steps above.

Only change the passcode while the HB-318 has passcode ON.
