Keypad Bus Connection Instructions
Step 1: Update Panel Firmware
For the most up to date features available, update your panel to
the latest firmware version.

Step 2: Program the Panel
1. Navigate to Device Setup.
2. At Device Number, enter a keypad address between 1
and 8 (XR150, XT/XTL Series) or 1 and 16 (XR550).
At Device Name, enter a name for the device.

At Device Type, select Keypad (XR Series Only).

Press CMD to advance through the menu items until you

Step 3: Power the Keypad
1. Connect the red wire to panel terminal 7.
2. Connect the yellow wire to panel terminal 8.
3. Connect the green wire to panel terminal 9.
4. Connect the black wire to panel terminal 10.

Step 4: Mount the Keypad
1. Route the keypad wires through the cutouts in the base.
2. Use the keypad base to mark the holes for the screws
on the mounting surface. The base should be placed at
standing height and the hooks on the base should be
facing up.
3. Set the base aside and drill the holes.
4. Use the included screws to secure the keypad base to the
surface. Do not overtighten.
5. Attach the wire harness to the keypad.
6. Slide the keypad onto the base and press the keypad into
place. The onboard camera should be on the left.
Step 5: Connect the Keypad to Wi-Fi
Ensure the panel is set up in Dealer Admin.
1. Select Options from the Carousel Menu.

want to join.
3. Enter the Wi-Fi password and press CMD.
Step 6: Program the Keypad
1. Select Options from the Carousel Menu.
2. Select Installer Options and enter 3577.
3. Press CMD and select Set Keypad Address.
4. Set the keypad address to the same address that was
programmed in the panel.
5. Navigate back to the Carousel Menu.
Step 7: Check for Keypad Updates
For the most up to date features available, update your keypad
to the latest firmware version.
Select Options from the Carousel Menu.
