• These technologies can be used when all the following conditions
are met:
– Room Correction and Speaker Setup is completed. Note that
"Audyssey" requires the "Audyssey 2EQ Full Calibration"
method.
– Any listening mode other than Direct or Pure Audio
(European, Australian and Asian models) is selected.
– A pair of headphones is not connected.
• The setting is stored individually for each input selector.
• "Dynamic EQ" and "Dynamic Volume" cannot be selected
when any of the THX listening modes is selected, with
"Loudness Plus" set to "On" or "Preserve THX Settings" set to

Late Night
For Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus sources, the
options are:
Off
Low:
Small reduction in dynamic range.
High:
Large reduction in dynamic range.
For Dolby TrueHD sources, the options are:

The Late Night function is set to "On" or "Off"
automatically.

used when "TrueHD Loudness Management" is set to "Off".

The Music Optimizer function enhances the sound quality
of compressed music files. When set to "On", the M.Opt
indicator lights on the AV receiver's display, and the
MUSIC OPTIMIZER indicator (North American and
Taiwanese models) lights on the front panel.
Tip
• (North American and Taiwanese models) Alternatively, you
can use MUSIC OPTIMIZER on the AV receiver.
Note
• The Music Optimizer function only works with PCM digital
audio input signals with a sampling rate below 48 kHz and analog
audio input signals.
• The Music Optimizer is disabled when the Direct or Pure Audio
(European, Australian and Asian models) listening mode is
selected.
• The setting is stored individually for each input selector.

Re-EQ
With the Re-EQ function, you can compensate a
soundtrack whose high-frequency content is too harsh,
making it more suitable for home theater viewing.

Neo:6 Cinema and 5.1-channel source + Neo:6.
Re-EQ(THX)

This function can be used with the following listening
modes: THX Cinema, THX Surround EX, and
THX Select2 Cinema.
Note
• These settings are stored individually for each input selector. In
THX listening mode however, the setting will return to "On"
when the AV receiver is turned off.
• These settings cannot be used while a pair of headphones is
connected.
