This replacement kit shall be installed by a qualified service agent in accordance with these
instructions and all applicable codes and requirements of the authority having jurisdiction. If the
information in these instructions is not followed exactly, a fire, an explosion or production of
carbon monoxide may result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life.
The qualified service agency is responsible for the proper installation of this kit. The installation
is not proper and complete until the operation of the converted appliance is checked as specified
in these instructions.

When to Install the P-1250 High Pressure Gas Valve Switch
Replacement Kit
Install the P-1250 kit if you need to replace a faulty low pressure gas valve switch or o-ring on an EX series
boiler.
The switch is designed to protect the boiler from gas pressures from 15" W.C. to 194" W.C. (0.54 psi to 7 psi).
• If the switch trips, reset and measure inlet gas pressure during operation and after lockup.
Gas regulators can allow pressure spikes which will rightfully trip the high gas pressure switch. Always
observe the regulator lockup pressure before declaring a gas pressure switch faulty.
• If the switch is exposed to gas piping test pressures (typically 15 psi) it should be replaced.
Note
The P-1250 switch is indicated by GMH-A2-4-4 printed on the yellow
indicator.
