When to Install the P-1249 Low Pressure Gas Valve Switch
Replacement Kit
Install the P-1249 kit if you need to replace a faulty low pressure gas valve switch or o-ring on an EX series
boiler.
The switch is designed to protect the boiler from firing with a gas pressure below 4" W.C. (0.15 psi).
• If the switch trips, reset it and measure the inlet gas pressure during full-fire operation. If other appliances
share the gas supply run them also for this test.
• If the switch is exposed to gas piping test pressures, or pressure above 7 psi, it should be replaced.
Note
The P-1249 low pressure gas valve switch is indicated by GML-A2-4-
4 printed on the yellow indicator.
