General General Read and keep operating instructions These operating instructions belong to this Portable Charcoal Barbecue (hereinafter referred to as “barbecue”). They contain important information regarding initial use and handling. Before using the barbecue, read through the operating instructions carefully, particularly the safety instructions. Failure to comply with these operating instructions can lead to serious injuries or damage to the barbecue.
Safety The barbecue should only be used in open spaces and must not be used in enclosed spaces. Exclusively use the barbecue with original accessories and only as described in these operating instructions. Any other use is regarded as inappropriate and may lead to material damage or even to personal injury.

Safety − Use barbecue tongs to lift off the dripping barbecued food for a short time, until the barbecue temperature has reduced slightly. − The holding capacity of fat in the inner bowl is limited; the fat should not reach up to the very hot lighting bowl under the fire basket in any case, as it could ignite.
Check scope of delivery Please note: We recommend that you use high-quality barbecue charcoal made of beechwood. Barbecue briquettes are not recommended, as they often generate more smoke and odours and are not suitable for the charcoal container, due to their larger shape. Check scope of delivery 1.

General barbecuing tips − As soon as the layers of the charcoal are glowing well or flying sparks are too intense, you should reduce the fan power and turn the on/off switch counter- clockwise. − If you want to take a short break from barbecuing, you can switch off the fan completely (OFF).
Refilling charcoal − Preferably use lean or slightly marbled, thin pieces of meat instead of fatty or thick pieces. − Cut the fatty edge off of meat. − Use oily marinades sparingly. − Do not drip beer onto meat or sausage to obtain a crispy crust. This crust contains a high amount of carcinogenic substances.
