The common standby time periods of DJI Mini 3 Pro in the stationary state are as follows. If the time is
exceeded, the drone may automatically power off to prevent overheating (tested in an indoor
environment with an ambient temperature of 25℃).
When in standby mode on the ground: about 22 minutes
When updating firmware: about 19 minutes (sufficient for three upgrades)
When using QuickTransfer immediately after powering on: about 35 minutes
When using QuickTransfer after landing: about 35 minutes
Does the DJI Mini 3 Pro meet the C0 standards?
Our DJI Mini 3 Pro has been designed in line with the current draft C0 standards which are due to be
finalised in the future. We are currently conducting the certification test under these draft standards
and, after being able to obtain the class identification label, will inform customers of how to certify their
drone.
At the present time, any drone under 250g is subject to the same rules and regulations regardless of
whether or not it holds a class identification label, which is not yet available.
Currently, all DJI drones can be used in the Limited Open Category with certain restrictions until 31
December 2023 and beyond.
Why is the larger battery with 45 minutes flight time for the DJI Mini 3 Pro not available in Europe?
DJI Mini 3 Pro has been designed in line with the current draft C0 class identification standards (drones
below the weight of 250 grams) which are due to be finalised in the future.
Regulators in Europe and other jurisdictions around the world (e.g. the US or Australia) have agreed that
drones weighing less than 250 grams are not going to cause the same kind of damage as a heavier drone
when involved in a crash or collision. Since they consider sub-250g drones to pose the lowest risks, they
have made them subject to fewer restrictions and requirements than their heavier counterparts.
The larger battery (Intelligent Flight Battery Plus) would add approx. 40 grams to the Maximum Take-Off
Mass (MTOM) of the DJI Mini 3 Pro and place it into the draft C1 class identification standard which
would pose more restrictions on the use of the drone. DJI would like to avoid this scenario for the Mini
series of our portfolio in order to appeal to a wider consumer base.
