    3. Specified conditions of use This machine operates according to the description of the instructions. These operating instructions will allow you to use your device quickly and safely: - This machine is intended for straight and curved cuts, and is designed for cutting solid wood, wood derivates, materials similar to cork, hard rubber, hard plastic materials, non-ferrous metal using suitable blades.

    - Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts. - If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.

    - Before making the first cut using the saw, let it run for a while, watch for vibration or wobbling that could indicate poor installation or poorly balanced blade. Adjust or replace as necessary. - Stop operation immediately if you notice anything abnormal. - Support large workpiece with proper tools: roller stands, trestles, etc.

    Danger! Cutting tool. Ask for help to handle the machine! 4.5 Safety devices Band saw blade upper guard (Fig 3): The upper guard (19) protects the user from unintentional contact with the moving blade. It must be adjusted in height so as to leave a maximum space of 2 to 3 mm above the workpiece, and thus make the blade inaccessible. Band saw blade lower guard (Fig 4): The lower guard (20) protects the user from unintentional contact with the moving blade.

    - Set packing material and shipping carton aside. Do not discard the packing material until the machine has been set up and is running properly, in case a return is necessary. Clean up: Some unpainted surfaces are coated with an oil to protect them from corrosion during transportation and storage. - Remove this protective coating with a solvent cleaner or citrus-based degreaser.

    - Guide the table and upper trunion (37) on to the bandsaw lower trunion (43), and ensure the bolt (36) projecting from the upper trunion is inserted through its corresponding hole in the lower trunion. - When in position re-fit and tighten the winged nut (38). (Fig 17) - Fit the plastic table insert (42) to the centre of the table with the angled bevel facing downwards.

    - Open the upper door and track the blade by turning the upper flywheel clockwise by hand, and adjusting the tracking knob (68) at the same time. - When the correct adjustment is achieved lock the tracking knob with the winged nut (67). - Close and lock the upper door.

    8 Operation 8.1 Dust extraction (Fig 44) CAUTION! - Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings, some wood types, can be harmful to one’s health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can cause allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of the user or bystanders.

    9. Maintenance ! CAUTION! To prevent accidents, make sure that the plug is disconnected from the power receptacle. 9.1 Replacing the bandsaw blade CAUTION! Immediately after use, the cutting tool can be very hot. - Allow the tool to cool down before handling. - Always wear gloves.

    9.2 Replacing the table insert (Fig 46) Change the table insert (118) before it is worn out; pieces of wood may fall into the lower compartment of the machine and cause damage. ! Danger of cuts! Always wear gloves to avoid any risk of injury. - Remove the old table insert and replace it with a new one.
