ActivConnect-G: Setting up Security

There are various ways to secure your ActivConnect-G. The instructions below will step through

how to secure your ActivConnect-G in the following manner:

● Your choice of a PIN, a password or a gesture

● Instantly lock the device and blank the screen with a tap of the on-screen power key

● Swipe up from the bottom of the panel, and enter your password or PIN to unlock it

Access Settings

From the H ome s creen, the quickest way to access the S ettings s creen is by swiping down from

the top of the screen, which will show your Notifications, the WIFI strength, and your user icon.

Then, swipe down again to reveal the S ettings i con, as in the screen below. Tap the icon.

Because the ActivConnect-G box is an Android

device, similar to a tablet or a Smartphone,

most people are comfortable navigating the

device after a few minutes tapping on icons, etc.

The downside to the ease-of-use means that it

is easy for a nyone t o access apps that may

contain sensitive information, like Gmail,

classroom assignments or tests. Fortunately,

this is e asily s olved with simple setup, just like

your Smartphone!
