SECTION 6 — SPECIFICATIONS 6-1 System Components Peripheral to allow the bulk-feed of TOUGH GARD® Anti-Spatter Liquid to 1-10 reamer units from a single source For complete parts list, please see Section 9 — Parts List on page 18. OM-MF4-1.3...
SECTION 7 — INSTALLATION / SETUP ® 7-1 Installing TOUGH GARD Anti-Spatter Multi-Feed System NOTE: The multi-feed system operates via vacuum draw, so the Figure 7-A reamer air pressure / volume is critical for ideal sprayer operation. A. To Install Cap Assembly 1. Remove the plastic cap from the TOUGH GARD Anti-Spatter Liquid p ail ( 5.28 U.S. Gal. / 20 L) or drum (55 U.S. Gal / 208 L). 2. Insert the cap assembly into the top of the pail/drum and tighten securely. NOTE: The cap assembly should pass through the pail / drum opening freely. The cap assembly features a fluid level indicator in order to help Figure 7-B monitor levels of TOUGH GARD Anti-Spatter Liquid (see Figure 7-B). NOTE: When the fluid level indicator is no longer visible, there is less than 1" of fluid left.

Figure 7-C B. Remove the Fluid Reservoir 1. It is recommended that the reservoir be empty prior to removing it from the reamer. 2. In the event that there is still fluid left in the reservoir, it can be emptied while still secured onto the reamer. a. Remove the front spindle cover by loosening the 4 BHCS on either side of the cover. b. On the right hand side of the sprayer check valve there is a black 5/16” fluid supply line. Figure 7-E C. To Connect Hose to Spray Unit NOTE: It is best to start by establishing the pail / drum location. This makes it easier to run hoses and permanently secure them. 1. After the reservoir is removed, run the hose f rom the pail / drum to the reamer being sure not to run hoses where they may be damaged or kinked. 2. Install the anti-spatter feed line on the reamer onto the barb fitting of the multi-feed adapter plate (See Figure 7-E ). Ensure that the hose clamp is secure over top of the barb fitting (See Figure 7-F). 3. Install the multi-feed adapter plate using the 4 x SHCS onto the side of the reamer frame (See Figure 7-G). 4. Connect the female quick connect on the hose to the male quick connect on the multi-feed adpater plate. Figure 7-F Figure 7-G OM-MF4-1.3...

Figure 7-H D. To Connect Hose to Pail / Drum with the Y- Connector 1. Connect a hose to Y-connector by using a small amount of lube on the barb and pushing the hose onto the barb. 2. Push the hose all the way to shoulder of the barbed fitting. 3. Clamps should be used on all connections. Figure 7-I E. To Connect Hose to Pail / Drum with a Manifold 1. Remove NPT plugs from manifold fittings and install the check valve assembly for the desired number of lines. 2. Install the hose from the pail / drum to the end of the check valve assembly (see Figure 7-I). 3. Clamps should be used on all connections. OM-MF4-1.3...

F. Priming the Hose Once the hoses have been completely installed, they need to be primed to remove any air bubbles. To Prime the Hose from the Reamer: 1. Activate the SPRAY ON button on the TOUGH GUN TT4 reamer until a steady stream of TOUGH GARD anti-spatter liquid is visible from the spray head. To Prime Hose from the Robot: 1. Activate the sprayer from the robot controller until a steady stream of TOUGH GARD anti-spatter liquid is visible from the spray head. NOTE: Be sure to check for any leaks while priming the hose. Use check valves and clamps at all manifold ports to ensure each line keeps its prime. Use check valves on long hose runs for safety measures as needed. OM-MF4-1.3...
SECTION 8 — MAINTENANCE IMPORTANT: Ensure the following: Ensure that all hose connections are clamped and tightened as needed to prevent leaks (enough clamps for every connection are provided with the kit). Clean cap assembly to prevent the TOUGH GARD Anti-Spatter Liquid from clogging. Check to see that there is a sufficient amount of TOUGH GARD Anti-Spatter Liquid in the pail / drum and replace as required. Under regular operating conditions, there should be no need for additional maintenance. OM-MF4-1.3...
