    Post Hole Digger Drill Safety Precautions WARNING! If used correctly, the Post Hole Digger Drill is a powerful, fast, high performance tool; if used improperly or without the due precautions, it could become a dangerous tool. For a safe and pleasant work, always comply strictly with the safety rules that follow, as well as those found throughout this manual.
  • Page 6 Post Hole Digger Drill • Do not operate the Post Hole Digger Drill when you are tired, fatigued or under the effect of alcohol and/or drugs (Figure 1). • Never wear scarves, bracelets or anything else which could get caught by the machine or bit. Wear close-fitting safety clothing (see Protective Clothing Guide).

    Post Hole Digger Drill Fuelling the Post Hole Digger Drill Fuel Mixture • Use a 4% (25:1) petrol/oil mixture. Refer to Figures 9 – 10. • With Oleo-Mac PROSINT oil, use a 2% (50:1) mixture. WARNING! The 2-stroke engines have high power ratings; we therefore recommend the use of leaded or unleaded petrol of a known brand, with an octane rating no lower than 90.
  • Page 12 Post Hole Digger Drill • Stir the mixture well before refuelling (Figure 13). • Always refuel (Figures 14 – 15) with the engine turned off and away from flammable environments. • Before unscrewing the fuel tank cap, position the Post Hole Digger Drill on a solid, flat surface so that it cannot fall over.

Switch the engine off by putting the on/off switch (B) in the “STOP” position. Carburettor Before adjusting the carburettor, clean the starter cover (Figure 27), the air filter (G, Figure 26) and warm up the engine.

    Post Hole Digger Drill Maintenance and Storage Air Filter Every eight hours, remove the cover (A, Figure 33) and the filter (G). The filter (G) should be washed with petrol and dried before refitting it. Fuel Filter Check the fuel filter periodically. Replace it if it is too dirty (Figure 34). A dirty filter can cause difficult starting and lowers the engine’s performance.

    Post Hole Digger Drill Starting Unit Use a brush or compressed air to keep the cooling louvers of the starter assembly free and clean (Figure 35). Engine Clean the cylinder fins (Figure 36) with compressed air or a brush periodically. Dangerous overheating of engine may occur due to impurities on the cylinder.
