NEUTRAL ASSEMBLY (additional details for P3 Panels):
15. If this kit is installed in a panel with a neutral,
fasten the branch neutral lugs (Item 8) to any
of the eight indicated sites on the upper or
lower neutral cross bus with 1/4"-20 x 3/4"
screws (Item 13). (Refer to Fig. 6)
16. For 30" wide enclosures, larger panels may
have auxiliary neutral lug mounting locations
on the vertical neutral riser bus, as shown on
each side. If present, each of these 3-hole
patterns can be used to mount one neutral
lug. Place a neutral lug on the 3-hole
mounting area, using the two holes that
orient the lug towards the top or bottom
of the panel. Use a pair of 1/4"-20 screws
(Item 13) to secure the neutral lug to the
vertical neutral riser bus. (Refer to Fig. 6 & 7)
(NOTES: 1. Shorter interiors will not have
these auxiliary locations. 2. These auxiliary
locations should NOT be used with 24" wide
enclosures due to wire bending guidelines.)
17. Tighten all screws to the torque values
specified on the back of the deadfront
(or the table on page 2).
DEADFRONT MODIFICATIONS & PANEL RE-ASSEMBLY:

Identify the deadfront area that will cover the 6" kit unit
space. Measure the unit space locating dimension D
directly from the deadfront end plate (as shown).
(Refer to Fig. 8)
19. Remove any full width plate and any center strip covering
the deadfront area for the 6" kit unit space.
20. Fasten the proper deadfront plate (Item 5 for P2 panels;
Item 6 for P3 panels) to the deadfront side rails with four
#8-32 screws (Item 10) as shown.
21. Install the Escutcheon Plate (Item 7) by orienting it such
that the "ON" marked on the Escutcheon Plate is over the
ON side of the breaker and then inserting the clips on the
opposite side and then rocking the "ON" side into position
until it firmly "clicks" into place.

If the installed kit does not completely fill the unit space
of removed modules, a deadfront filler plate kit is required
to cover unit space where no branch components are
installed. Use kit DFFP3 for 3" gaps and kit DFFP6 for
6" gaps.

If a deadfront center strip was removed to make space for
this kit, and a shorter strip is needed to cover remaining
dual-mounted branch modules, use kit DFK1 to install the
appropriate length strip.
Replace the deadfront using screws removed during

disassembly.
25. Tighten all hardware to torque values on the back of the
deadfront.
26. Before energizing the panel, ensure that any barriers
and fillers are in place and secure, that the deadfront
is installed, that the trim is in place, and the door is
closed and locked.
