1. GENERAL
1.01
This section covers the COMM-STOR II
Communications Storage Unit manu-
factured by Sykes Datatronics, Incorporated, as
described in their section SYKS 578-400-201.
1.02
Whenever this section is reissued, the
reason(s) for reissue will be listed in this
paragraph.
1.03
Information covering installation pro-
cedures for the 8Al/8Bl protocol option
is contained in the attached reprint of the practice
prepared by Sykes Datatronics, Incorporated.
1.04
The COMM-STOR II unit is available in
two models: Model 8120A (single-drive
unit) and Model 8220A (dual-drive unit). Edit,
standby diskette power, and the extended user-

command table are standard features in both
models. Available options consist of:
Printer port
Forms
Expanded RAM memory
Rack-mount enclosure
Extended forms.
A plate on the rear of each unit indicates those
options that are included in the unit.

Any form of the word display as used
throughout this section refers to data out-
put through the terminal port of the COMM-STOR
II unit (ie, sending data to the terminal).
