GENERAL DESCRIPTION
.
The re detector is designed for early warning of a re condition responding to xed threshold smoke concentration
detected in the protected premises. The smoke sensitivity is factory preset. The principle of functioning of the detector
( .5).
is based on scattered light re ected from smoke particles entering the optic chamber. The re detector is microproces-
sor controlled with implemented algorithm for self-compensation of the chamber contamination. FD8030 is tted on
bases series 8000.
The re detector ( g.1) consists of a printed circuit board and an optic chamber (pos.4), xed in a plastic cabinet (pos.5).
Both LED indicators (pos.3) allow range of visibility 360° and provide information for the status:
-Standby mode – the LEDs are o ;
-Alarm condition – the LEDs are on;
-Contaminated chamber — the LEDs ash on a period of 1 sec.

INSTALLATION
The re detector operates with bases type 8000. They are delivered separately and installed on ceiling through
relevant screw with plastic-dowel. The connection diagram of the installation is on g.2.
Cable shoes is recommended in the wiring installation.
The re detector is placed on the base ( g.1,pos.1). It is rotated clockwise until reaching the guiding grooves

( g.1,pos.2). It is rotated until rest ( g.3.1). The slots of the base and the body should match ( g.3.2).
Locking of the re detector ( g.4). Before installation, the key (pos.3) is detached from the base and the rib (pos. 1) of
.
the locking click (pos.2) is cut out.

Removing of a re detector locked to the base. Insert the key into the slot (pos.4) push in as in the same time the re
detector is rotated anticlockwise. Remove the key and continue to rotate the re detector in the same direction until it is
released from the base.
TESTING

The re detector is tested after installation as a part of the site's re alarm system or with the following maintenance

procedure:
, 1. The conventional line of the re detector is power supplied from the Fire Control panel's zone or from auxiliary power
supply unit;
2. One minute after the re detector has been power supplied, then it is triggered with smoke tester. It should enter to
re alarm condition within 40 sec;
3. In order to reset the FD8030 re detector, then the conventional line must be power down for at least 2 sec. or a reset
command should be handled from the Fire Control Panel;
