WIDE PILLION BACKREST With the largest seat ever on a scooter, Rizta has space for everyone in the family. And while the rider is zipping through tra c, the pillion can lean back on the wide backrest and enjoy the ride. The backrest provides a bigger grab area that pillion can hold when passing through bad roads or carrying something big.

UNDER-SEAT STORAGE Smartly designed to accommodate a full-sized helmet, it also has an LED strip lamp so that finding things in poorly lit parking spaces is easier. Carry up to a volume of 34L. CAUTION Do not overfill the under-seat storage. A simple check: the seat should close e ortlessly when you drop it down and gently press it.
Page 15
CAUTION The main boot space is built to be rain-proof but joeypocket is not. However, water can seep through if a pressure jet wash is used to clean the scooter. Remember to empty the under-seat storage before washing. Always store the portable charger in its cover to protect it from water leaks.

THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND STRONG AND SILENT MOTOR So silent, you won’t even realise it’s running. Keep an eye on the dashboard for the motor OFF/ON indicator. SUPER RESPONSIVE BRAKES Both the wheels have pretty responsive brakes. So press the brakes gently, until you get used to them.
Page 21
SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS As a precaution, wear appropriate safety gear while riding: a helmet that conforms to prescribed standards. Do not consume alcohol or drugs that a ect your reflexes, before or while you are riding. Do not overload the floorboard. It can handle up to 170* kg of weight.
Page 22
PRECAUTIONS FOR A SAFE ELECTRIC RIDE In case of an accident, do not touch wiring connectors or the wired components. In the highly unlikely event of a battery fire, extinguish the flame by flooding it with a lot of water. A water hose should be used, and the person doing this must be at least a couple of metres away from the scooter.
Page 23
TURNING THE SCOOTER ON AND RIDING UNLOCK THE HANDLEBAR Insert the key in the keyhole located under the handlebar, on the right-hand side. Turn the key clockwise, and it’s unlocked. OPEN THE UNDER-SEAT STORAGE Once the handlebar is unlocked, turn the key anti-clockwise to open the underseat storage.
Page 24
TURNING THE SCOOTER ON AND RIDING SWITCH ON THE DISPLAY Once the key is turned ON, it will activate the dashboard, showing the current time, available range and riding modes. ACTIVATE THE MOTOR Press the brake lever (either one) and the motor start switch on the right-hand side of the handlebar to make the riding screen appear.
Page 25
TOGGLE TO CHANGE RIDING MODE Switch between SmartEco and Zip. CAUTION The scooter may be throttled down to SmartEco Mode when the battery charge is too low. WARNING In case of errors or glitches, performance may be restricted to ensure the rider’s safety. If this happens, please contact customer support immediately.
Page 26
PARK ASSIST™ Enter the Park Assist™ mode by pressing the Park Assist™ button when stationary. Slowly rev the throttle (RHS handlebar) to start moving backwards. To move forward, press the “start switch” button before revving the throttle. WARNING Kick back the side stand, before you start riding.
Page 27
TURNING THE SCOOTER ON AND RIDING Brake (R) Brake (L) Accelerator MAINTAINING SPEED Rev the accelerator throttle and use the brakes to maintain speed. Avoid using both the accelerator and the brake at the same time, SLOWING DOWN AND BRAKING Bring the throttle back to zero.
Page 28
CAUTION In wet weather, it takes longer to slow down or come to a halt. Start braking a little earlier than you would normally, especially when going around corners and turning. WARNING Any unintended acceleration could injure you or others on the road. TIME TO GET ON THE ROAD...
Page 29
REGENERATIVE BRAKING Recover the scooter’s kinetic energy and convert it to be stored in the battery. HOW TO ACTIVATE IT? Press the brake levers or rev the throttle in the opposite direction (anti-clockwise). Algorithms dictate the amount of regen and speed of the scooter.
Page 30
MAGIC TWIST™ Magic Twist™ gives you more control over braking, letting you slow down by twisting the throttle in the backward direction (anti-clockwise). It is powered by our magic braking algorithm providing significant braking force at all charge levels, enough to bring the vehicle to a complete halt.
Page 31
SKIDCONTROL SkidControl technology, launched for the first time in a family scooter, prevents your scooter from slipping on wet, uneven, sandy roads or any surface that’s prone to skids. It gets triggered when you are passing through such surfaces and ensures that you and your family are always safe.
Page 32
TURNING THE SCOOTER OFF AND PARKING STOPPING YOUR SCOOTER Bring the accelerator throttle back to zero. Turn the key back to the LOCK position and remove it. If Guide-me-home Light is ON, the headlight will switch OFF automatically in ~15 seconds. CAUTION The key should be removed anytime the scooter is left unattended.
Page 33
PARKING Use your left foot to disengage the side stand. Always engage the side stand when you’ve to park. Also, always try to park on level and firm ground. CAUTION • Park under shade wherever possible. • Continuous, long-term exposure to sunlight could cause discolouration of the screen.

Page 37
UNPLUGGING IT Before you pull out the cable, turn the key to the ON position to unlock the connector. Keep the key in the ON position and wait for 5 seconds. Remove the charging connector. Remember to close the charging port flap on the scooter.

Solid green light: When not connected to the scooter, the charger is functional. When connected to the scooter, charging is complete.
Page 41
VEHICLE SHUTDOWN HIBERNATION When the scooter is not in use (unplugged, with the key turned OFF), the electronics consume negligible power. The battery drains extremely slowly. But, if you don’t ride for around 25 days, you should charge for a few hours before you head out.
Page 43
EXTEND YOUR BATTERY LIFE • Always use the original charger provided by Ather to charge your vehicle. Avoid using 3rd party chargers. • Shut down (vacation mode) the vehicle when it remains idle for a few days, to prevent accidental battery draining.
Page 44
PULLING AND PUSHING Turn the motor OFF when pulling the scooter back or pushing the scooter on a decline. CAUTION Do not try to hold the scooter at a place using partial acceleration, while on a slope. In all likelihood, it will damage the motor. CARING FOR YUR SCOOTER...
