  • Page 11 SWITCHGEAR: LEFT-HAND SIDE HORN Press this switch when you need to sound the horn. TURNING INDICATOR Toggle this switch left/right to turn ON the indicator lights. They turn OFF automatically once the turn is complete. Press the center to turn OFF the indicator manually.

  • Page 13 SWITCHGEAR: RIGHT-HAND SIDE MOTOR STARTER Turns the motor ON, and kickstarts the scooter. It also changes directions when using Park Assist TOGGLE SWITCH Switches between riding modes displayed on the screen with a left/right toggle, when the key is ON. Changes the mode while riding as well.
  • Page 14 ACCELERATOR GRIP Controls the acceleration and speed of the scooter. It also activates regenerative braking when twisted in the reverse (anti-clockwise) direction. FRONT BRAKE LEVER Actuates the front brake to control the speed of the scooter. PARK ASSIST Engages Park Assist mode when stationary.
  • Page 15 UNDER-SEAT STORAGE Smartly designed to accommodate a full-sized helmet, it also has an LED strip lamp so that finding things in poorly lit parking spaces is easier. Carry up to 15 kg and a volume of 22L. CAUTION Do not overfill the under-seat storage. A simple check: the seat should close e ortlessly when you drop it down.

  • Page 21 THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND STRONG AND SILENT MOTOR So silent, you won’t even realise it’s running. Keep an eye on the dashboard for the motor OFF/ON indicator. Use the kill switch whenever at signals to avoid accidents from any unintended acceleration. SUPER RESPONSIVE BRAKES Both the wheels have pretty responsive disc brakes.

  • Page 24 PRECAUTIONS FOR A SAFE ELECTRIC RIDE • In case of an accident, do not touch wiring connectors or the wired components. • In the highly unlikely event of a battery fire, extinguish the flame by flooding it with a lot of water. A water hose should be used, and the person doing this must be at least a couple of metres away from the scooter.

  • Page 26 TURNING THE SCOOTER ON AND RIDING UNLOCK THE HANDLEBAR Insert the key in the keyhole located under the handlebar, on the right-hand side. Turn the key clockwise, and it’s unlocked. On the road...
  • Page 27 OPEN THE UNDER-SEAT STORAGE Once the handlebar is unlocked, turn the key anti-clockwise to open the underseat storage. Take your helmet out, wear it, simply drop the seat to lock it. Check the seat lock once, just to be doubly sure. Now you are all set for the ride! On the road...
  • Page 28 WARNING The scooter makes no significant sound when the motor is ON. SWITCH ON THE DISPLAY Once the key is turned ON, it will activate the dashboard, showing the current time, available range and riding modes. Disclaimer: Range display and riding modes on the dashboard are only available with the Pro.
  • Page 29 DISENGAGE KILL SWITCH If the kill switch is engaged, the motor will not switch ON. ACTIVATE THE MOTOR Press the brake lever (either one) and the motor start switch on the right-hand side of the handlebar to make the riding screen appear. TOGGLE TO CHANGE RIDING MODE Switch between Eco, Ride and Sport.
  • Page 30 Brake (L) Brake (R) Indicator cancel Start PARK ASSIST To move in reverse press the Park Assist button when stationary. Slowly rev the throttle (RHS handlebar) to start moving backwards. To move forward in Park Assist , press the “Activate motor” button before revving the throttle.
  • Page 31 MAINTAINING SPEED Rev the accelerator throttle and use the brakes to maintain speed. Avoid using both the accelerator and the brake at the same time. SLOWING DOWN AND BRAKING Bring the throttle back to zero. Either use the Combined Braking System or apply both brakes simultaneously to bring the scooter to a halt.
  • Page 32 CAUTION In wet weather, it takes longer to slow down or come to a halt. Start braking a little earlier than you would normally, especially when going around corners and turning. WARNING Any unintended acceleration could injure you or others on the road. Use the motor kill switch at any tra c stop.
  • Page 33 REGENERATIVE BREAKING Recover the scooter’s kinetic energy and convert it to be stored in the battery. To activate Regenerative Braking, the battery should be below 80% and speed, above 20 km/h. HOW TO ACTIVATE IT? Press the brake levers or rev the throttle in the opposite direction (anti-clockwise).
  • Page 34 CAUTION The scooter may be throttled down to Eco Mode when the battery charge is too low. WARNING In case of errors or glitches, performance may be restricted to ensure the rider’s safety. If this happens, please contact customer support immediately.
  • Page 35 TURNING THE SCOOTER OFF AND PARKING STOPPING YOUR SCOOTER Bring the accelerator throttle back to zero. Use the kill switch to turn OFF the motor. Turn the key back to the LOCK position and remove it. If Guide-me-home Light is ON, the headlight will switch OFF automatically in ~15 seconds.
  • Page 36 CAUTION The key should be removed anytime the scooter is left unattended. You don’t want somebody stealing it. PARKING Use your left foot to disengage the side stand. Always engage the side stand when you’ve to park. Also, always try to park on level and firm ground. CAUTION Park under shade wherever possible.

  • Page 38 USING THE ATHER DOT Pull the connector out PLUGGING IT IN Turn the key to the ON position. Gently pull down the connector from the holder, open the charging port flap on the scooter and plug it in. Key should be in the OFF position for the scooter to start charging automatically.

  • Page 40 Do not try to forcefully pull the connector out. Try turning the key to OFF, back to ON and try again. It should come out e ortlessly. Disclaimer: Remote charge status on the Ather App is available only with the Pro.
  • Page 41 WHAT DOES THE LED SAY? The charger tells you what it’s up to, with an LED light that changes colours. Solid amber light: Charger software is being updated over the air. Solid green light: When not connected to the scooter, the charger is functional. When connected to the scooter, charging is complete.
  • Page 42 Plug in the other end of the cable to the scooter’s charging port. Turn the key to OFF position and pull it out. To plug out, keep the key in the ON position, wait for 5 seconds, then remove the charging connector and close the charging port flap.

  • Page 44 VEHICLE SHUTDOWN HIBERNATION When the scooter is not in use (unplugged, with the key turned OFF), the electronics consume negligible power. The battery drains extremely slowly. But, if you don’t ride for around 25 days, you should charge for a few hours before you head out. HOW TO SHUT DOWN By heading to the settings section on the dashboard.

  • Page 46 EXTEND YOUR BATTERY LIFE • Use of Optimised Charging feature is recommended. It helps control battery ageing. • Always use the original charger provided by Ather to charge your vehicle. Avoid using 3rd party chargers. • Shut down (vacation mode) the vehicle when it remains idle for a few days, to prevent accidental battery draining.
  • Page 47 PULLING AND PUSHING Turn the motor OFF using the kill switch when pulling the scooter back or pushing the scooter down a slope. CAUTION Do not try to hold the scooter at a place using partial acceleration, while on a slope. In all likelihood, it will damage the motor.
