If the AST supplied AC power cable has to be modified, the work must be performed by a qualified electrician or factory trained technician. Aurora’s products do not contain any user serviceable components and must not be opened for any reason. Doing so will void the warranty. If service is required, please contact AST. -

This document provides Installation and Specification information for AST’s measurement and control system consisting of an Aurora Server and a DM measuring head. In addition to the information in this document, the customer should contact and work with an AST Applications Engineer during design and installation. -
Page 9: System Overview
Central to the system is the Aurora Server which is a common operations and administration controller for the measurement and data collection components on a solar cell production line. The Aurora Server is offered in 1U and 2U rack mount configurations as well as a fanless mini configuration. -
Page 10: Visualize License Dongle
Aurora’s Visualize software is protected using a USB dongle. Each dongle is programmed uniquely and it must remain installed in order for the software to function. The 2U Rack Mount Veritas Server is equipped with two Ethernet adaptors. The left-most adaptor is spare and can be used to connect the Aurora Server to factory networks (i.e. for remote access and support). The right most adaptor is for DM measuring head communication. -

5.1.5 Power The 2U Rack Mount Aurora Server accepts a wide range of AC voltages and frequencies. Refer to Section 6.1.1 for more details. It is highly recommended that the AC power connection to the Aurora Server be provided with surge protection. Damage to the equipment due to power surges is not covered by the warranty. -
