#4 Approximate alert distance Typically 50 ft to 150 ft When testing your PRD, you must walk far enough with the PRD in hand (leaving the phone behind) until you hear the phone separation alert. (Some people don’t walk far enough when testing.) Note: Alert distances can vary throughout the day for the same setting and same environment.
