MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

Fasten the speaker ring in the ceiling cut-out by carefully
folding the mounting springs. The tensile force of the
springs provides a stable hold.

Insert the enclosed rubber grommets into the two holes
on the back of the fire dome.
▪
Insert the 100V speaker cables through the grommets
of the fire dome.
▪
Attach the fire dome to the speaker ring mounted in the
ceiling. To do this, push the three inner springs out of the
spring slots towards the centre of the fire dome and then
to the side so that they rest against the inside. Position
the fire dome in the speaker ring in the ceiling. Please
make sure that the fire dome is inserted as far as it will
go. Then snap the springs back into the spring slots of
the fire dome. This fixes the fire dome in place.
▪ Connect the loudspeaker cable to the ceramic terminal
(COM and 100V connection).
▪ Insert the grille into the speaker ring (as far as it will go)
and carefully turn the grille clockwise. Use the enclosed
mounting hook for this purpose. Do not insert the hook
into the grille more than 5mm from the outer ring to avoid
damage. The openings of the bayonet catches should be
in a straight line with the rivets on the inner side of the
speaker ring.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The CM-AB 6-200 EN54 is designed with two independent
speakers and 100V transformers to enable an economic ope-
ration of two separate speaker lines (A/B lines) for the highest
security demands. In case of a failure of one speaker line, the
redundancy of the speakers and the transformers will guaran-
tee unimpaired function. The speaker is also compliant with
the British Standard BS 5839, Part 8.
The 2x6W powered speaker is equipped with two full-range
loudspeakers and two 100V transformers with 3 power ad-
justments, each. The powder-coated metal version with per-
forated grid cover in RAL 9010 guarantees lasting stability.
For additional safety, a 2-pin ceramic connector block, and
thermal fuses are provided and the speaker chassis are im-
pregnated against dampness. Protection class IP 55 secures
the speaker against the impact of environmental influences.
Quick and easy mounting with spring clamps and short ten-
sion distance. The connecting cables can be supplied by 4
rubber grommets in the fire dome. Special paint of the spea-
ker in 4-digit RAL- or NCS- colour is available at extra cost.
The fire dome is included in the delivery.
This speaker is suitable for a ceiling strength of about 10-45
mm. Our specification is primarily related to solid ceilings, for
ceilings with soft materials higher ceiling thicknesses could
be necessary. In addition, stronger cables and other fittings
may also result in changes in the appropriate setup. With re-
gard to the variety of materials and manufacturers, we re-
commend building a sample of the speaker to match the re-
quirements accurately.
