Westward High Reach
Supplementary Stand
Description
Westward high reach supplementary stand is designed to help prevent the tipping/
rocking of a vehicle while the vehicle is engaged on an automotive lift. Heavy gauge
steel construction and compliance with the latest ANSI/PALD standards ensure safety,
strength and stability.

Assembly
Use Figure 2 as reference.
1. Insert solenoid (#3) into main post
(#12).
2. Attach bearing (#13), adjusting handle
(#15) & saddle (#17) on solenoid.
3. Secure saddle using lock pin (#16,
punch in), and make sure it is stable.
4. Attach grease fitting nipple (#14) onto
adjusting handle.
5. Attach struts I & II (#2 & #4) to column
(#1) with bolts, washers & nuts (#9, #8
& #6). Leave nuts finger tight.
Note: Do not tighten any bolts unless
instructed to.
6. Attach support plate I & II (#5 & #7) to
column (#1) with bolts, washers & nuts
(#9, #8 & #6). Leave nuts finger tight.
7. Fully tighten strut to column and
support plate to column bolts.
8. Insert main post assembly into support

Note: Grease prior to first use.
RAISING
Turn adjusting handle clockwise until
saddle contacts load. Continue turning
handle to raise load to required height.
LOWERING
Turn adjusting handle counter-clockwise.

Maintenance
Periodically inspect each part. Ensure all
parts move freely. Apply grease to fitting
as needed. If rust appears, sand affected
area and cover with suitable utility paint.
