I have shark QS00QSD that will power down while vacuming. Dust bin is not full, the motor slows down.

The Shark HZ700 Series vacuum may power down or the motor may slow down due to lack of maintenance, such as not cleaning the filters or not removing debris from the brushroll. Blockages in the floor nozzle, nozzle tube, or dust cup can also reduce suction and affect motor performance.

I have just replaced my HZ600C with the newer HZ700C. I loved my original one, but the power head seized (not completely self-cleaning! Hair worked its way to the edges and there was no way for me to clean it out—the unit overheated and melted).
I have just assembled my new Ultralight PowerPet and the suction is too great for my carpets! I have it on the low setting. Unit overheats! Is there a fix for this, or do I have to return this vacuum cleaner?
BTW, I was disappointed to find that in this newer version, there is still no easy way to clean the powerfins from hair that works its way to the edges.

Yes, there is a fix for overheating issues. Follow these steps:
1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum. 2. Empty the dust cup and clean the filters. 3. Check for blockages in the wand, floor nozzle, handheld vacuum, inlet openings, and accessories. 4. Reassemble the vacuum, ensuring all parts click into place. 5. Let the unit cool for at least 60 minutes. 6. Plug it in and turn it on.
If the vacuum still does not work properly after these steps, it may need service.
