Enterasys XSR 1800 Series Installation Manual

The standard XSR 1800 Series Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) of 32 or 64 MB (XSR-1805/1850) can easily be
upgraded to 64 or 128 MB simply by disassembling the chassis, removing the existing DIMM, and installing the
new DIMM. Refer to the XSR-1850 instructions below or the XSR-1805 instructions on

Before You Begin
To complete this installation, you need only a Phillips-head screwdriver and an antistatic wrist strap.
Caution: To prevent component damage from electrostatic discharge, use an antistatic wrist strap, and observe all
electrostatic precautions during this procedure. Failure to do so could damage the DIMM, the XSR, or both.
XSR-1850 DIMM Upgrade Instructions
To upgrade the XSR-1850, follow the procedure described below:
1. Attach an antistatic wrist strap to your wrist.
2. Unplug the XSR-1850.
Electrical Hazard: Because you are removing the chassis cover and exposing electrical connections, the device
must be disconnected from its power source to prevent electric shock.
