The Max-Shear Disperser is also recognized for its pum ping abilit y. In many applications, the Max-S hear Disperser can blend and pump without requiring additional equipment.
Dispers er’s pum ping ability. Cavitation is a condition that exists when the s uction requirem ents of the Max-Shear are not met. This can be c aused by too many elbows in the Max -Shear suction line or incorrect suction pipe size contributing to friction loss es.
Special seals and bearings may be necessary if the product discharge pressure exceeds 50 psig (3.33 bar). Clean the Max-Shear Disperser after each use. Aqueous-based Cleaning dispersions can be flus hed wit h water. Non-aqueous -based dispersions can be flushed with a suitable solvent.

Move t he motor closer to t he disperser to decrease tension or farther from the disperser to increase tension. Over- tensioning the timing belt can damage the bearings.
Protect the seal face from abrasive surfaces, which c ould nick or break the seal face. Max-Shear 6" and 8" sizes: Remove the s eal housing mounting plate. The primary stationary seal face is locat ed in the mounting plate. Us e care when disassembling. Protect the s eal face from abrasive surfaces that could nick or break the seal face.
