6 - Basic Principles The GTR.600C and GTR.650C have been designed by FACOM in order to ensure that all operational, inspection and adjustment procedures are entirely visual and readily visible at distances of up to six metres thanks to the colour screen included.
Steering test Necessary for the measurement of the castor and pivot pin inclination. Two procedures are available. - Simplified procedure + / - 10° (recommended) castor and pivot measurement. - Complete 0°, + 10°, + 20°, -10°, -20°, -0° castor pivot and steering variance at 20°. IMPORTANT : The brake pedal press must be used.

Equipment installation: - Place the vehicle in position (wheels straight) on correctly installed (assembly pins) plates (UB.7A and UB.8A). - Install the head-carriers (UB.67) on the vehicle wheels and fit the safety grips (UB.12) (be sure to tighten the mounting screws correctly). - Place the heads in position on the head-carriers.
7.3 Data retrieval by customer name Search by customer Press "F4" You can select by: date, registration number, customer name or town. Move your cursor using the direction keys or the keyboard: enter the first letter in the right-hand field and accept the resulting selection by pressing Enter on the keyboard.

10.7 Steering test Steering test Follow the instructions on the screen. The 20° option carries out measurements in two phases: at 10° for measurement of the castor and pivot angles, a n d t h e n a t 2 0 ° f o r m e a s u r e m e n t o f s t e e r i n g differences.
10.8 Report Personalized report In one of the results screens, press F5 to go to the “ Personalized Report ” screen. Two remarks bases are available: One with preset expressions. A personalized base. F2 “ Selection of remarks ” lets you switch between bases. F3 and F4 are active only in the personalized remarks base.

12 - Vehicle body height data entry Body heights vehicle input Select a vehicle in the manufacturer database (specific entry requiring entry of body height). You will then see the next screen. The message blinking in yellow will indicate the need to enter body height data for the vehicle in order to obtain the benchmark values for camber, castor and pivot angles.
14 - Error message Various error messages can be displayed to indicate system status during the measurement procedure. In the following screens, a description of the message is listed. These are shown in the rim runout screen and in the various adjustment and results screens.
