Integrating a PTZ Optics camera with Mira Connect™
PTZ Optics cameras can be controlled by Mira Connect™, Aveo Systems' smart control appliance. Mira Connect uses Sony's
VISCA (Video System Control Architecture) camera protocol to control pan, tilt, and zoom, for VISCA‑compatible cameras over
TCP, UDP, or RS‑232.
Figure 1:
Mira Connect controls thousands of products, including PTZ Optics cameras from many manufacturers.
In addition to camera pan, tilt, and zoom control, Mira Portal supports saving and restoring camera presets, making it easy to
restore presets with Mira Connect to re‑position the camera to pre‑defined locations.
Important Information
Mira Connect supports VISCA over IP using UDP, allowing direct network connections to a broader set of PTZ Optics cameras
that support VISCA over IP.
Integration Steps
To integrate a PTZ Optics camera with Mira Connect, follow these steps as detailed in the following sections:
1.
Add the desired room to Mira Portal
2.
