Integrating an Ashly mXa/AQM DSP with Mira Connect™
Ashly mXa/AQM DSPs can be controlled with Mira Connect™, Aveo Systems'® smart control appliance.
This integration guide provides detailed steps for configuring Mira Connect (using
DSP.
Mira Connect communicates and controls the Ashly mXa/AQM DSP over Ethernet (http). Mira Connect supports mute and
volume adjustment of inputs, processing blocks, mixers, and outputs.

Integration Steps
To integrate an Ashly mXa/AQM DSP with Mira Connect, follow these steps as detailed in the following sections:

Step 1. Configure the Ashly DSP
To integrate an Ashly mXa/AQM DSP system with Mira Connect, first create or upload a design file to the Ashly mXa/AQM DSP.
A design typically includes customizing the input and output labels, adding in the desired processing blocks, identifying the
mutes and gain points for Mira Connect to control, and possibly adding presets that Mira Connect can recall. See the

If you change the configuration of the Ashly DSP after Mira Connect has connected to the device, and would like Mira Connect to
rediscover the channel names and processing blocks, simply edit the device and choose to simulate, click 'Update Equipment',

Mira Connect appliances can use a PoE network connection and/or use a separate power supply. Mira Connect requires on‑site WAN access to pair with the room in Mira Portal.

Add the Ashly DSP to the room Navigate to the Equipment tab and click ADD to add an Ashly mXa/AQM DSP to the room.

    Enter the IP address of the Ashly mXa/AQM DSP and the username and password of the user account created using the Ashly AquaControl software. Click ‘Add Equipment’ and Mira Connect will connect to the actual or simulated device and show the status of the connection and control points.
  • Page 7 The control points are discovered automatically by Mira Connect. Mira Connect supports controlling input mutes, input processing gain blocks (the position of the blocks are detected), mixer crosspoint mutes and volumes for each of the four sub‑mixers, output processing block gains (the position of the gain blocks are detected), and output mutes.

    If Mira Connect is not able to connect to the Ashly mXa/AQM DSP: • Confirm that Mira Connect and the Ashly mXa/AQM DSP have IP addresses that are on the same subnet or are reachable on the same subnet if controlling over Ethernet.
