Maintenance Tips for Keeping Your Hybrid 2.0 Running Smoothly
Maintaining the Buffing Solution Line
Purging the Line
The Buffing Solution line should be purged at the end of the day.
To purge the Buffing Solution line, perform this step:
• Press the "C" button on the front keypad to purge the line, that is, to bring the
Buffing Solution to the pink Jet Nozzle Extender. That way, if the Buffing Solution
hardens, it will do so in the extender and not the line. See page 22 of the User
Manual for more details regarding the Jet Nozzle Extender.
Rinsing the Line
The Buffing Solution line should be rinsed out when the machine will not be used for an
extended period of time (a few days, a week or longer).
To rinse the buffing solution line, follow these steps:
• Remove the buffing solution bottle from the back of the unit.
• Tilt the Top Cover forward to a 45-degree angle and press the "C" button. In
order to avoid product waste and keep the platen clean, you can place a small
cup on the platen below the buffing solution nozzle so that the solution will drain
into the cup, and then it can be placed into the buffing solution bottle.
• Remove the water bottle from the back of the unit and fill it with hot water.
• Place the buffing solution tube into the water bottle and press the "C" button to
run the water through the line. Press the "C" button again to stop the flow of
water once only water is coming through the line.
NOTE: If the machine remains unused for a long period of time, perhaps weeks,
any water in the line can dry out and Buffing Solution residue in the line can
harden. If the residue builds up over time, this will interfere with the flow of
Buffing Solution, resulting in insufficient Buffing Solution reaching the disc and a
negative impact on repair quality.
