    CD-1 User Guide Introduction Overview The CD-1 displays open captions on most video monitors and includes a video test signal generator. It consists of a small, externally-powered unit that translates a 3G/HD/SD-SDI input containing closed captioning signaling into a burned-in 3G/HD/SD-SDI or DVI signal with open captions added to the picture.
