  • Page 6 BASIC SAFETY INFORMATION INTENDED USE I LOCK IT Pro serves as a bicycle lock for locking the rear wheel. I LOCK IT Pro is controlled via a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone that has the I LOCK IT app installed or to a I LOCK IT key fob.
  • Page 7 DEFINITION You will find the following signal terms in these instructions: This symbol indicates a hazard with a medium level of risk which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury. This symbol indicates a hazard with a low level of risk which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
  • Page 8 • Never open the housing of the plug-in power supply. • The housing of I LOCK IT Pro must never be unscrewed or modified. • Unplug the mains adapter from the socket if there is a risk of thunderstorms.

    2. COMMISSIONING 2.1. CHARGING THE BATTERY Before using your I LOCK IT Pro for the first time, you should fully charge the battery. To do this, carry out the following steps: Open the USB-C cover on the right-hand side of I LOCK IT Pro.
  • Page 15 IV. As soon as I LOCK IT Pro is fully charged, you can remove the USB-C cable and close the USB-C cover again. If the battery reaches a low charge level, an acoustic warning tone is emitted each time the lock is opened.

    2.2. SETTING UP THE I LOCK IT APP Once fully charged, you can connect your I LOCK IT Pro to your smartphone. The following steps can only be carried out when setting up a smartphone for the first time. If another smartphone or a key fob is to be set up, please follow the steps in chapter 3.6.

  • Page 18 When you first set up I LOCK IT Pro with the I LOCK IT app, you define your personal color code. This is used to open I LOCK IT Pro if there is no Bluetooth connection to the smartphone or hand-held transmitter and should not be passed on to third parties.

    2.3. MOUNTING ON THE BIKE I LOCK IT Pro is firmly attached to the seat stays of your bike. I LOCK IT Pro has four different openings for mounting. Through these openings I LOCK IT Pro must be mounted at the optimum height.

  • Page 22 ASSEMBLY FOR BICYCLES WITHOUT THREADED BUSHES If your bike does not have threaded bushes for mounting I LOCK IT Pro, then I LOCK IT Pro can be mounted easily and securely with the optionally available installation adapters. To do this, carry out the following steps: The installation adapters have flexible screw mounts that can be adjusted laterally.

    I LOCK IT Pro offers several options for opening: AUTOMATIC OPENING If automatic opening is activated in the settings, I LOCK IT Pro opens automatically as soon as you come close to it. The distance at which I LOCK IT opens can be configured in different levels via the app.
  • Page 25 OPEN AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON In addition to automatic opening, I LOCK IT Pro can be opened by briefly pressing the I LOCK IT Pro button. After successful opening, the button lights up green and your journey can begin.

    CLOSE AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON I LOCK IT Pro can be closed by pressing a button. To do this, press the I LOCK IT Pro button twice in quick succession. The button then briefly lights up red.
  • Page 29 CLOSE VIA SMARTPHONE You can also close your I LOCK IT Pro using the I LOCK IT app. To do this, press the "Close I LOCK IT" button on the home screen or click directly on the lock graphic. Before the locking process, I LOCK IT Pro emits an acoustic signal to indicate that it is about to be locked.

In this case, the lock emits an acoustic signal (if the warning tones are activated) and you receive a message in the I LOCK IT app or via the key fob.

    3.3. SMART ALARM If the theft alarm is activated in the I LOCK IT settings and your I LOCK IT Pro is locked, I LOCK IT Pro triggers an audible alarm as soon as your bike is lifted and moved.

    If a theft alarm is triggered on your bike, I LOCK IT automatically activates the GPS tracking function. You can now use the I LOCK IT app to track the current location of your I LOCK IT. As soon as your bike is not moved for a longer period of time, I LOCK IT deactivates the GPS functionality again to save energy.

  • Page 35 In these situations, the proximity function can help you to locate your bike. As soon as your I LOCK IT Pro is within Bluetooth range, the proximity screen in the I LOCK IT app shows you whether you are currently approaching your bike or traveling in the opposite direction.

    To lend your bike equipped with I LOCK IT Pro to friends or family, you can create and share a color code in the I LOCK IT app. This color code allows you to open I LOCK IT Pro without having to install the I LOCK IT app on another smartphone.

    I LOCK IT Pro. To connect another device to I LOCK IT Pro, it is necessary to set I LOCK IT Pro to set-up mode. Only in this mode can a new device establish a connection to I LOCK IT Pro.

    As soon as the key fob LED and the I LOCK IT Pro button light up blue for 5 seconds, a permanent connection has been established between the key fob and I LOCK IT Pro. The key fob must be in the factory settings for this.

    4.1. I LOCK IT KEY FOB The key fob allows you to use your I LOCK IT Pro without a smartphone. You can use the key fob and the Smartphone in parallel, a simultaneous Bluetooth connection of both devices with I LOCK IT Pro is possible.

  • Page 48 MAINTENANCE BATTERY LEVEL AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT As soon as the battery level of your key fob reaches a critical level, the key fob LED starts flashing red. When this happens, the battery should be replaced to ensure continued reliable operation. Carry out the following steps to replace the key fob battery: Open the battery cover.

    5. MAINTENANCE AND CARE 5.1. CLEANING I LOCK IT Pro is insensitive to splashing water and can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. To ensure reliable operation, dirt should also be regularly removed from the locking bar. • Cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner is not permitted and can lead to damage to I LOCK IT Pro.
  • Page 53 • If I LOCK IT Pro runs out of power, it stops functioning and remains in its last state. • Opening|closing and the alarm function are not possible when the battery is exhausted. • By connecting a charger or a power bank, I LOCK IT Pro is immediately ready for use again and can be opened or closed.
