Installation & Set-up
1. Introduction
The 4-channel LED Controller CTR-52 by MBJ Imaging can be controlled either directly via ModBus TCP or via the easy-to-use CTR-
52 for Windows. These instructions help you to install the and then put the CTR-52 into operation.
For set-up via ModBus TCP please download the definitions and infos from the MBJ Imaging website here.
2. Installation & Set-up
2.1. Installing the client
a.
Download the latest CTR-52 installer from MBJ Imaging website. (Download here)
b.
The .zip-file includes:
1.
InstallerCTR52Client_X.X.X.X.msi and
2.
Functions_and_Examples.py
(Functions_and_Examples.py is only necessary if you want to implement a command routine with python.)
c.
If existing uninstall older version of the CTR-52 client.
d.
For an easy configuration please install the client by double-clicking on the "InstallerCTR52Client_X.X.X.X.msi".
e.
Program files will be saved to: C:\Program Files\MBJ Imaging\CTR-52
2.2. Starting the client
a. Find the CTR-52 client under your installed programs.
b. The initial window shows:
c. Set up the CTR-52 as shown in the graphic (connect to control pc and power supply).
Note: Any LED-Light you wish to control via the CTR-52 should be connected BEFORE connecting the controller to the power
supply. Only LEDs that are connected during the startup process are detected by the CTR-52.
d. The default IP Address of the CTR-52 is 192.168.0.99.
Note: If you choose to change the IP address for the CTR-52 be careful to remember the new address, otherwise you may not
be able to reconnect to the CTR-52. If that is the case reset the CTR-52, see: Trouble Shooting

    By clicking on the register “General” you can set up the overall configuration and mode of the CTR-52. a. General | Detected: “Detected” shows on which channel the CTR-52 has detected an LED. In this case it detected two LED’s – on Channel 1 and 3.
