As with all machinery, operating a pillar drill can lead to dangerous situations. Careful use and handling can significantly reduce the risk of injury.

    If dust extractors and collectors can be attached, ensure these are connected and used properly. Using a dust extractor can reduce dust-related hazards. Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of the power tool allow you to become careless and ignore tool safety principles.

    16 | Assembling and adjustment of the pillar drill Attention! Assemble the NOVA Voyager DVR pillar drill with the help of a second person to prevent possible injury. Read the operating instructions before assembly. Do not connect the pillar drill to the power supply until it is fully assembled.

    Insert the plug into the socket and turn on the pillar drill by switching the rocker switch to “I”. As soon as the NOVA Voyager DVR pillar drill has been switched on, the product name and logo will be displayed on the LCD screen followed by any warning messages.
