Step 1: Position the Cart on a surface as shown. Note the location of (7) Torx T8 Screws (circled). Step 2: Unscrew the 7 Screws with the T8 Screwdriver. While holding both halves together, flip over the assembly. Note: The screws should all fall out onto the table (set aside). Lift off the top cover and set aside exposing the assembly as shown below. Step 4: Remove the Push Rod Trigger and place to the side paying attention to the trigger spring. Do not lose this spring since this is the spring that keeps the trigger arm button pushed thru the top half of the chassis. The Spring can be set aside or left in the hole as shown below. Step 5: Remove the screws from each “front” axle cover using a Torx T‐8 driver. There is one screw on each cover located as shown below. Pay attention to the tensioning spring in the plastic covers. Do not lose these springs as the axle assembly needs both to keep the downward pressure on the axle. Remove the Plastic Cover/Spring/Screw assemblies and set aside. Step 6: Remove the force beam from the double support pins as shown below. With your fingers, pull the force beam straight up off the double plastic force beam support columns and place on the outside of the unit as shown below. Note: Some wiggling back and forth may be necessary to free the force beam from the supports. Do NOT use standard pliers as this will damage the force beam and/or wires. Step 7: Remove the rear axle covers and springs using a Torx T‐8 driver and set aside. Note: Use the same steps as the front axle cover removal noted above. Remove the axle assemblies and set aside. . Step 8: Reassembly ‐ Replace both axles with the new ones. Be sure to place the rear axle with the rotary encoder wheel on the rear (left side) of the cart near the force beam as shown above. ‐ Reinstall the rear axle Plastic Cover/Spring/Screw assemblies (hold the springs in place while placing the assembly). ‐ Reinstall the front axle Plastic Cover/Spring/Screw assemblies (hold the springs in place while placing the assembly). Secure the screws. ‐Reposition the push rod trigger and spring (make sure the spring is inside the hole before placing the trigger). ‐Reposition the Push Rod and Spring. The reassembly should now look as shown below. Make sure that the back end of the spring is inside the spring stop and not pressing against the force beam. ‐Position the top cover as shown below. Make sure the Trigger is located properly inside the hole. While holding the rear firmly together, lift the front of the top cover up slightly and push the Rod in until it clicks into place. Close the top cover down firmly and push the trigger. The plunger should release. If not, lift off the top cover and repeat these steps. ‐While holding both halves together, flip over the assembly and secure the 7 Torx T‐8 Screws. The Reassembly is complete .
