Das Produkt wird benutzt, um einzelne Ports (Anschlüsse) mit einem Patchpanel oder einem Netzwerkverteilgerät wie einem Switch oder Router zu verbinden. Außerdem werden Patchkabel zur kabelgebundenen Anbindung von Netzwerk-Geräten (Computer, Smart-TV, Notebook, Spielekonsolen) verwendet.
