Risk of nuisance breaker trip. High impulse voltages, like lightning, may cause damage to the VFD. While SmartD drives have built-in surge protection, they do not have sufficient protection to mitigate a lightning strike or similar high-energy event. SmartD recommends the use of specialized surge protectors in areas prone to frequent lightning strikes.

Current in remaining connected wingdings increases, motor internal temperature increases, the motor may even stall due to a lack of torque. SmartD VFD is permanently monitoring the motor current on each phase. As soon as the loss of phase fault is detected, the Clean Power VFD stops the motor according to the user- defined stop scenario.
The profile can be selected by user between CIA402 and SmartD. Parameters, Addresses and Format The Clean Power VFD is seen by other clients/servers as a table of parameters. This table can be download as an Excel file, from SmartD web site, in the page resources, section products. https [https://smartd.tech/technology/resources/] ://smartd.tech/technology/resources...
For traceability, technical support troubleshooting and legal reasons the SmartDrive keeps a persistent log of audit-able events on the systems. An admin or SmartD qualified personal can consult these logs to diagnose problem that can arise in the field. What are the logged events ?
If you don't have the skills and knowledge, neither the correct tools, to execute the reforming procedure as described here after, Call SmartD Technologies Inc to receive ad hoc technical support. Why Capacitors reforming ? If the Clean Power VFD has been non-operational for more than one year, Electrolytic DC capacitors of the DC bus need to be reformed.
