4 of 12 KIT INSTALLATION STEP 1: (VEHICLE PREP) Make a note of hose routing to SCV (Selective Control Valve). See figures 1.1a and b for reference. Disconnect and save 45° fitting Disconnect SCV hoses and drain fluid. Cycle the valves to allow all fluid to drain out.

8 of 12 KIT INSTALLATION STEP 6: (ATTACH HOSES) Loosely install the 45° fitting to the right side port as shown in Figure 6.1. Attach the hose with the 90° fitting to the 45° fitting. Attach the longer straight hose in its original location as is.
9 of 12 CARE AND MAINTENANCE • Check and tighten hardware after 40 hours of operation. Periodically inspect and tighten hardware for the remainder of the unit’s life. • Wash the painted surfaces of this kit with commercial automotive cleaning products.
Tightening of Non-Structural Bolts For light or medium duty fastening, Curtis recommends using a general industry standard of tightening until snug and then giving an additional one quarter turn of the tool as deemed reasonable for the application (i.e.: at the installer’s discretion).

This page can also be used for other solid metal-to-metal joints. Do not use these high torque values on any of the following applications involving: tubing, plastic, nylon or rubber washers, threaded inserts, etc..
