Prior To Use
Please ensure that these User Instructions and
the General User Safety Guide are read prior to
first use of any moving and handling practice.
Herida Healthcare Ltd recommend that prior to
using any hoist, a full risk assessment must be
completed by qualified personnel in order to
determine that the correct hoist, sling, and
transfer procedure are suitable for each
individual.
Contraindication: If you are not fully trained in this product - DO NOT USE!
Ensure you are aware of the hoist manufacturer's fitting instructions. Please note that this hoist is
compatible for a loop fitting sling only. Do NOT use a clip fit sling on a loop designed spreader bar. Do
NOT use a loop designed sling on a stud/clip designed spreader bar.

For all other sling information/clip & hoist size compatibility, please refer to pages 8 & 9 of the Herida
Sling General User Safety Guide. Copies available via the website.

    Introduction to the Hoist The hoist is a medical device for patient lifting only by a fully trained professional. Do NOT allow it’s use for any other purpose. Only use the hoist on a flat surface and NEVER attempt to hoist or move a patient on a slope.

    Hoist Assembly Instructions 1. Open the box carefully. (Fig1) SAFETY INFORMATION: do not use a sharp blade or knife as this may cause damage to the equipment. Remove all excess packaging. 2.   • Page 12 Maintenance & Servicing The maintenance & servicing recommendations are in line with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER1998). These regulations are comprehensive and can be viewed at the following website: www.hse.gov.uk/work-equipment-machinery/loler.htm. This maintenance must take place every 6 months & be carried out by a competent person. If outside the UK, please confirm with if there are different testing requirements.
