A*er +ghtening the adapter, you will no+ce that it can easily rotate to the le* and right. This is necessary as
the adapter is designed to be universal for any camera. To adjust the slight play, turn the sight fully to the
le* (or right) before se-ng it, and then make the adjustment. If the sight shi*s subsequently, simply turn it
fully to the le* again.
Quick Setup
The "Quick Setup" is for those who are in a hurry to use the Minadax Visor. However, we recommend reading this entire
document to gain a complete understanding of how the visor works and alternative setup options. The original instructions start
with "Step 1: Turn on the visor".
Quick setup of the Minadax Visor
You'll need your camera and a telephoto lens, the Minadax Visor, the provided tool, and a tripod. Find a location where you
have a line of sight to a distant small object such as a sign or another noticeable object that's about 15-30 cm in size. It could be
a "No Parking" sign, a part of a tree, a birdhouse, or a mailbox. It should be far away so that the center of the camera focus
almost covers the object.
1. Remove the rubber lens cover and slide the Minadax Visor with the MX-V1 adapter into your camera's flash shoe until it clicks
into place. Tighten the clamp screw. The visor should sit firmly without wobbling.
2. Turn on the Minadax Visor by pressing one of the buttons (By pressing multiple times you can adjust the brightness. The visor
will automatically turn off after a while.
3. Adjust the tripod to a height that allows you to easily see through the visor. Focus and center the target object with your lens
set to its maximum focal length. Lock the ball head of the tripod.
4. Align the center of the camera focus on the object and look over the top of the visor through the center of the visor lens to
locate the crosshairs. Use the provided screwdriver to adjust the height and side adjusters so that the point of the crosshairs is
precisely on the center of the camera focus.
5. Set your camera's focus system to continuous mode and a multi-point focus system. 9-25 points usually work best, but consult
your camera manual as every camera has similar but different settings for action photography.
6. Practice on stationary and slowly moving targets, near and far, to get used to shooting with the Minadax Visor. Keep both
eyes open! This way you can see more and it's easier to track moving targets.
