Taking a firm hold the Tacker, place the base of the
unit against the fixing surface with the nose at the
position of the fixing point.
Depress the trigger with the palm of your hand
until the tacker fires the staple.
Try the tacker on a test area first, if the staple has
been fired too far in or not enough into the
surface, adjust the pressure as required.
To do this simply turn the pressure adjuster
clockwise to increase pressure, or anti-clockwise to
decrease.
HAMMER STAPLER...
Hold the Stapler handle with your hand, place the
base of the unit against the fixing surface with the
nose at the position of the fixing point.
To operate the stapler, ensure the nose is fully in
contact with the fixing surface, then give the
impact head a firm blow with the rubber mallet
supplied.
Try the stapler on a test area first, if the staple has
been fired too far in or not enough into the
surface, increase or decrease the power of the
blow.
Whichever you are using...
Only use the stapler/tacker for fixing onto timber.
Do not attempt to fix to thin weak edges or over
an existing fixing.
NEVER tamper or modify any safety features on
this equipment, they are there for your safety.
EQUIPMENT CARE
Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits. If it will not do what you want with reasonable
ease, assume you have the wrong tool for the job. Ask at
your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.
Regularly check the condition of the equipment, if
it shows signs of damage or excessive wear, contact your
local HSS Hire Shop for a replacement.
Keep the equipment clean. You will find this less of a
chore if you clean up regularly, rather than wait until the
end of the hire period.
Use only staples supplied by HSS, any other may damage
both the work and the stapler.
When not in use, store the equipment somewhere
clean, dry and safe from thieves.
FINISHING OFF
Remove any remaining staples from the unit.
Thoroughly clean the Stapler/Tacker, ready for return
to your local HSS Hire Shop.
