- Page 14 An emitter pin (inside a emitter) is a sharp, pin-shaped object, made from tungsten. ASG-PG series produces ions using corona discharge method. Thus, during an operation, high voltage is applied on its emitter pin, which rounds the sharp pin away as the time goes on.
