SAFETY & WARNINGS The tool can only be used safely after the operating instructions have been read and fully complied with. It is recommended to receive practical instructions before using the machine for the first time. Do not expose to rain, do not use tool in damp environment. Always wear goggles, protective gloves and robust shoes when using the appliance. - Page 4 • Store idle tools properly: When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, elevated, or locked-up place out of the reach of children. • Do not force the tool: The tool will perform better and more safely at the rate for which it was intended.
- Page 5 Batteries • Do not disassemble, open, drop, crush, bend, deform, puncture, or shred the battery. • Avoid modifying or remanufacturing the battery. Do not insert foreign objects, immerse in liquids, or expose to fire or excessive heat, including from soldering irons or microwaves.
- Page 6 • Avoid charging or using the battery in explosive atmospheres, such as near flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Inserting or removing the battery could ignite dust or fumes. • If battery contents come into contact with the skin, wash immediately with mild soap and water.

- Page 8 ASSEMBLY Fitting and Removing the Battery (Sold Separately) Note: This product is designed to be used with CT20VBAT20A - Certa PowerPlus 20V 2.0Ah Lithium Battery, and CT20VHTLBCHB - Certa PowerPlus 20V Rapid Charger (65W) (sold separately). The battery should always be removed whenever you are not using the tool and especially when you are adjusting or transporting the tool to avoid accidental operation.

OPERATION Charging the Battery Pack (Sold Separately) Note: This product is designed to be used with CT20VBAT20A - Certa PowerPlus 20V 2.0Ah Lithium Battery, and CT20VHTLBCHB - Certa PowerPlus 20V Rapid Charger (65W) (sold separately). Remove the battery pack from the handle by pressing the push lock buttons downwards. - Page 10 Temperature Guidelines for Charging: • Caution: Avoid charging batteries in temperatures below 4.5°C or above 40.5°C. • Optimal Conditions: Best performance and battery life are achieved when charged at an air temperature around 24°C. • Tool Temperature Limits: Charging will not occur if the tool's temperature is below 0°C or above 45°C.
- Page 11 Operating the Hedge Trimmer • To turn on the trimmer, simultaneously press down on the Front switch-handle (4) and Back switch-handle (5). • Releasing either switch-handle will cause the trimmer to stop suddenly. You may notice sparks from the ventilation slot; this is a normal phenomenon and will not damage the trimmer.
