Problems with welding at low temperatures.

maintenance and repair procedures.

turned OFF and the product must be disconnected from the input power source.
Only Lincoln trained service technicians are authorized to perform these
modifications.
Explanation of the Problem
Temperature below 10° C makes that Y027-1 working not stable.
Verification of the Problem
If the Speedtec 180 or Speedtec 200 can't welding at low temperature this instruction is
valid.

  • Page 2 Correction of the Problem Step 1 Disassemble the handles.
  • Page 3 Step 2 Disassemble the lower corners and case. Step 3 Disconnect all plugs and wire connections. Cut the harness strips.
  • Page 4 Step 4 Unscrew PCB.
  • Page 5 Step 5 Find integrated circuit V82 on PCB and remove solder mask from copper in the place shown below. Step 6 Tin the uncovered copper and solder capacitor 100n 0805 50V X7R 5%. Step 7 Check the circuit continuity: (V82 pin 13) VCC VCC: yes (V82 pin 12) GND GND: yes...
  • Page 6 Step 8 Fasten the Y027, connect all plugs and wire connections. Fasten harness and gas hose using harness strips. Insulate output cable by shrinkable insulator. Caution! Output cable must be tightened well! Step 9 Assemble the case.
