  • Page 13 MOUNTING THE BASE PREPARING THE CONCRETE BASE CAUTION: Do not install the pedestal and charging station near dangerous areas such as water pipes, gas pipes, and steam pipes to ensure safe use. CAUTION: The concrete pad must be prepared in accordance with all local regulatory requirements.
  • Page 14 MOUNTING THE BASE PREPARING THE CONCRETE BASE CAUTION: Do not install the pedestal and charging station near dangerous areas such as water pipes, gas pipes, and steam pipes to ensure safe use. CAUTION: The concrete pad must be prepared in accordance with all local regulatory requirements.
  • Page 15 MOUNTING THE BASE INSTALLING THE BASE PLATE STEP 1 Lay the pedestal base plate on the concrete pad, ensuring the input power cable is located precisely underneath the opening of the base plate. Mark (4) drilling locations on the concrete foundation using the holes in the pedestal base plate as reference.
  • Page 16 MOUNTING THE BASE INSTALLING THE PEDESTAL BASE STEP 1 Lift the pedestal base over the base plate and feed the incoming cable through the opening. Secure the pedestal base to the base plate using (4) M6*18 mm pan head torx screws with (4) M6 spring washers and (4) M6 flat washers.

  • Page 23 MOUNTING THE CHARGING STATION INSTALLING SIDE-BY-SIDE CHARGERS (For configurations 3 and 6 on pg. 6) STEP 8 Use the 310 mm length marking on the pedestal box as a guide to measure and mark a 310 mm length on the other supplied conduit. STEP 9 Using an appropriate cutting tool, neatly trim both conduits to the marked lengths.
  • Page 24 MOUNTING THE CHARGING STATION ELECTRICAL WIRING STEP 1 Thread the input power cables from the bottom of the pedestal base up towards the wiring window to meet the power leads from the charger(s). STEP 2 Terminate the charger leads to the incoming power. Ensure all connections are adequately grounded, taking into account the pedestal grounding wire.

    Tighten all loose connectors to secure the conduit(s) in place. STEP 5 To complete the installation, secure the bracket to the sides of the charger by tightening the (2) original screws.   • Page 27 MOUNTING THE TOP & CABLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POSITIONING THE CABLE CLAMP IF DUAL CABLE MANAGEMENT IS REQUIRED, REPEAT STEP 1 - STEP 7 ON BOTH SIDES. STEP 1 Unscrew and remove the screw and nut to open the cable clamp. Unscrew and remove the (2) outer gland screws to open the inner fittings.

  • Page 29 MOUNTING THE EV PARKING SIGN Two (2) EV CHARGING ONLY parking signs included with pedestal top. You can use the pedestal top to display your signs, or easily mount to standard street parking sign poles. STEP 1 Secure the parking sign to the front of the pedestal top using (2) cross machine teeth screws.
