    INSTALL THE HARDWARES 4.1.1 INSTALLING THE X-LINE MODULES About the X-LiNE Module The X-LiNE Module ECU collect and transmits the sensors data to the XeedGATE gateway. communicates with the sensors through X-LiNE, address and diagnose them. Furthermore, the Module compares seed sensor data for easier identification of seeding failures.
  • Page 17 INSTALL THE HARDWARES 4.1.1.1 MOUNTING X-LINE CONSOLE TO X-LINE MODULE TOOLS TOOLS REQUIRED Wrench (M6 size) Hex key (5 mm) First place and hold the X-LiNE module onto the front of Module Bracket (part no). After put the two steel screw (part no) into the module’s two mortises. Fix the module (part no) with the two steel washer (part no) and two steel screw- nut (part no) to the bracket (part no).
  • Page 18 INSTALL THE HARDWARES 4.1.1.2 MOUNTING THE X-LINE MODULE TO A TOWER TOOLS TOOLS REQUIRED Cutting tool Put the two cable ties to the bracket’s two mortises in the left or right side. Stretch the cable ties on the tower. Plug the cable ties to the other two free mortises on the bracket. See on Figure 4 Deflect the two cable ties (part no) behind the bracket (part no).
  • Page 19 INSTALL THE HARDWARES 4.1.1.3 MOUNTING THE X-LINE MODULE WITH RIVETS TO A FLAT SURFACE The bracket can be fixed by rivets. In this case needed two rivets for the fixing. The diameter of the rivets are 6,4 mm. Fixing the bracket by rivets is only possible on a flat surface. There are two holes left and right side of the bracket for the rivets.

  • Page 23 INSTALL THE HARDWARES 4.1.2.3 MOUNTING XEEDGATE BRACKET TO A FLAT SURFACE The XeedGATE Bracket can be fixed by rivets if the beam’s width is bigger than 96 mm. In this case the XeedGATE Bracket fixed on a flat surface. The diameter of the rivets are 6,4 mm. The holes are spaced 62 mm.

Shorter installation time on seed tubes was in mind there is no need for hose clamps, even cleaning is simple thanks to SnapLock-Tube Adapter that enables easy sensor opening.

    BASEModule has a 4 NPN open collector input for most the commonly used sensors and ground speed radar. With its two built- in CAN BUS connector the BASEModule links to the XeedSystem easily. NOTE Recommended to install the module near the XeedGATE.

The existing working position sensor typically found on a hydraulic cylinder. If the machine does not have an existing working position sensor, determine the location of the hydraulic cylinders that are used to lift the machine in and out of the ground at the end of rows.

    About the connections of an existing sensor If you have an existing sensor (e.g. fan rpm sensor or radar) you can use this for XeedSystem. The machines usually contains the speed radar and/or fan rpm sensor. The BASEModule able to connect these sensor types but you should check the electrical properties before you connect it to the BASEModule.

    MAINTENANCE MAINTENANCE DUSTY SENSORS Function Description The sensor cleaning is rarely due, thanks to Intelligent Dust Compensation function, so the operator can seed large areas without cleaning the sensors, DUST allowing him exploit the short time for optimum seeding conditions. The dust COMPENSATION test is an unmatched solution to determine sensor dust level, then iDC, relying on dust test information, automatically compensate sensibility.
