BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER
FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE:
The intended user should be a licensed medical professional, the patient, the patient's caretaker,
or a family member providing assistance. The user should be able to: Read, understand and
be physically capable to perform all the directions, warnings and cautions provided in the
information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS:
The Procare Knee Ranger Sized/ Knee Ranger II Sized/ Knee Ranger/ Vinyl Sized are designed to
provide support and immobilization to the knee. It may be suitable for use following knee injury
or soft tissue injury.
This product was designed to complement the variety of medical treatments common to the
above afflictions. The frequency and duration of use should be determined by your prescribing
Healthcare professional.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: None.
APPLICATION INFORMATION:
1) Unfasten all straps.
2) With the patient sitting or lying down, slide the splint under the involved leg. (Fig. 1)
3) The hinges should be positioned slightly above midline of the patella. Attach hook tab.
4) Loop straps through D-rings and fasten the straps closest to the knee first, then fasten remaining
straps. (Fig. 2)
5) For easy one piece removal, unfasten the straps and open the foam pads. The brace can then
be removed and reapplied as a single unit.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR HINGE ADJUSTMENT:
KNEE RANGER HINGE:
Remove Allen Nut using enclosed Allen Wrench. Turn cap to expose pins. Dial in to desired
position and reinsert pins. Replace and tighten Allen Nut.
KNEE RANGER II HINGE:
With hinges slightly flexed, flip open hinge cover, change pins to desired settings and close cap.
To avoid damages to hinges, both flexion pins must be set in identical positions and extension
pins must be set in identical positions.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:
• The hinge bars may be bent to add varus or valgus contouring. Bend each side bar an equal
amount above and below the hinge.
• Hand wash foam liners in cold water with mild detergent. AIR DRY ONLY, DO NOT HEAT DRY.
• All foam may be trimmed.
Always consult with your physician or therapist before making changes to the brace.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
• This device is to be prescribed and fitted by a healthcare professional.
• Do not use over open wounds.
• Do not use this device if it was damaged and/or packaging has been opened.
• If you develop an allergic reaction and/or experience itchy, red skin after
coming into contact with any part of this device, please stop using it and contact your healthcare
professional immediately.
• If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you
should contact your doctor immediately.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to
usage of this device.
WARRANTY: DJO, LLC will repair or replace all or part of the unit and its accessories for
material or workmanship defects for a period of six months from the date of sale.

PERFIL DEL USUARIO PREVISTO:
El usuario previsto debe ser un profesional médico autorizado, el paciente, el cuidador del

comprender y ser físicamente capaz de seguir todas las instrucciones, advertencias y
precauciones proporcionadas en la información de uso.
USO PREVISTO/INDICACIONES:
El protector para rodilla Procare por tallas / protector para rodilla II por tallas / protector para
rodilla / de vinilo por tallas están diseñados para proporcionar soporte e inmovilización a la rodilla.
Pueden ser adecuados para usar después de una lesión en la rodilla o en tejidos blandos.
Este dispositivo se ha diseñado para complementar los diversos tratamientos médicos habituales
para las afecciones mencionadas anteriormente. El profesional médico que prescribió este dispositivo
es quien debe determinar la frecuencia y duración de su utilización.
CONTRAINDICACIONES: Ninguna.
INSTRUCCIONES DE COLOCACIÓN:
1) Desabroche todas las correas.
2) Con el paciente sentado o acostado, deslice la férula debajo de la pierna afectada. (Fig. 1)
3) Las bisagras deben colocarse ligeramente por encima de la línea media de la rótula. Ajuste la
lengüeta de gancho.
4) Pase las correas a través de los anillos en forma de D y abroche las dos correas más cercanas a la
rodilla, y luego las correas restantes. (Fig. 2)
5) Para retirar el dispositivo fácilmente y en una sola pieza, desabroche las correas y abra las
almohadillas de espuma. Es posible entonces retirar el estabilizador y volver a aplicarlo como una
sola pieza.
INSTRUCCIONES PARA EL AJUSTE DE LA BISAGRA:
BISAGRA DEL PROTECTOR PARA RODILLA:
Retire la tuerca Allen con ayuda de la llave Allen incluida. Gire la tapa para dejar los
pasadores al descubierto. Gire hasta la posición deseada y vuelva a insertar los pasadores.
Vuelva a colocar y ajuste la tuerca Allen.
BISAGRA DEL PROTECTOR PARA RODILLA II:
Con las bisagras ligeramente flexionadas, abra la cubierta de la bisagra, cambie las clavijas
para permitir las configuraciones que desee y cierre la tapa. Para evitar daños en las
bisagras, ambas clavijas de flexión deben ajustarse en posiciones idénticas y las clavijas de
extensión deben ajustarse en posiciones idénticas.
INSTRUCCIONES DE LIMPIEZA:
• Las barras de las bisagras pueden doblarse para conformarse a posturas varo o valgo. Doble en
igual medida cada barra lateral, tanto por encima como por debajo de la bisagra.
• Lave a mano los revestimientos de espuma con un detergente suave. SÉQUELAS AL AIRE LIBRE;
NO LAS SEQUE CON AIRE CALIENTE.
• Toda la espuma puede ser recortada.
Consulte siempre a su médico o terapeuta antes de efectuar modificaciones a la abrazadera.

• Este dispositivo debe utilizarse bajo la supervisión de un profesional médico, quien debe ajustarlo.
• No debe aplicarse sobre heridas abiertas.
• No utilice este dispositivo si está dañado o si el envase está abierto.
• Si tiene una reacción alérgica o experimenta picazón y la piel se enrojece después de entrar en
contacto con cualquier parte de este dispositivo, deje de usarlo y póngase en contacto
inmediatamente con su profesional de salud.
• Si sufre algún dolor, inflamación, alteración de la sensación o cualquier otra reacción poco
frecuente al utilizar este producto, póngase en contacto con su médico inmediatamente.
