Most discharges are so small that they are not noticed.

    ® 7 Description of M2Smart HMI10 Radio 7.1 Commissioning and Handling When using the device for the first time, please ensure that the corresponding original power supply unit is connected to the mains supply in addition to the inserted battery (left battery compartment). The power supply unit is plugged into the device via the DC socket on the back (to the right of the left battery compartment).

    7.2.1 Turning on the Device ® To turn on the M2Smart HMI10 Radio, use the following button:  "On/Off" button ® The status LED is lit green as soon as the M2Smart HMI10 Radio is turned on. The home screen of the operating system or the normal working environment appears on the display.
  • Page 27: Idle Mode (Power Saving Mode)

    7.2.3 Idle Mode (Power Saving Mode) ® To switch the M2Smart HMI10 Radio to idle mode (power saving mode), use the following button:  "On/Off" button (hold for two seconds). In idle mode, (system) processes minimize their power consumption in order to save energy. The display is also switched off.

    To remove the respective battery, press the latch in the direction of the battery surface. The battery can then be easily lifted via the latch and removed from the battery compartment. Figure 14: Removing the rechargeable battery To insert the rechargeable battery in the device, tip it diagonally downward and place it in the rechargeable battery compartment.

    7.2.8 Changing the Retaining Strap To remove the retaining strap, turn the unit onto its back and rotate the retaining strap locks until it moves easily. Now guide the retaining strap out to the side via the wider openings on the retaining strap rail. To reattach the retaining strap, turn the unit onto its back and insert both ends of the retaining strap into the rails on the side.

    10.5 Attaching and Removing the Modules The left and right plug-in module as well as the module on the back of the device can be attached and removed as shown in the following figures. 10.5.1 Dummy Adapter The dummy adapter (left plug-in module) can be attached to the device or removed from the device using three screws.

    10.6.2.3 Handling the M2Zustimm10 After the M2Zustimm10 plug-in module has been attached to the back of the main device, it can be used as described below. ® The M2Smart HMI10 Radio operating device is normally held by the handle with the left hand. This makes it possible to operate the enabling switch with the fingers.

    The M2Not-Halt10 module must be checked regularly for tampering and damage. The illumination of the Emergency Stop button must be checked at regular intervals to ensure clear recognition. The interval is determined by the risk analysis and risk assessment that is prepared. The M2Not-Halt10 module must be replaced if clear recognition is no longer guaranteed.
