remote control or a switch and sends them to a lighting, sunblind or
HVAC controller.
The receiver is connected by a RJ9 digital link and is installed into
ceilings or suspending ceilings.

Mounting Instructions
Infrared receiver installation
The receiver is is recessed in the ceiling (Ø 18 mm hole).
Depending on the ceiling thickness, two mounting options are available.
■
For an easier installation in a metal ceiling, a clip system is
integrated to the receiver.
■
For thick ceilings (e.g. staff ceilings), a rubber ring is provided to
fasten it in the ceiling.
The visible part is a half-sphere (Ø 24 mm).
■
The receiver must be installed within the remote control's sight
range.
■
The sight range depends on the remote control's direction and
type.
■
The infrared emission is optimal when the remote control is facing
the receiver.

Wiring
Each receiver is connected to the controller using an RJ9 cable. The
maximum RJ9 cable length is 50 m.
Position the receivers away from HVAC devices.
For RIR-L receivers only:
■
Do not install near a direct light source.
■
Keep at least 1.50 m away from windows.
5.
Pairing
Infrared receivers pairing
■
Pairing an infrared receiver to a remote control for a specific
zone allows to have several remote controls operating in the
same area to manage different zones without conflict.
■
To pair an infrared receiver to a remote control it is necessary
to attribute a zone address. This zone address has also to
be set in the controller. (Please refer to the controller's User
Giode for more information).)
■
The number allocated to the zone is the number allocated to
the matching remote control.
■
All remote controls are factory-set as zone "0" (universal
number): it commands all receivers whatever the zone
configured in the controller.
■
For more information, please refer to the remote control's
hardware installation guide
Unpairing
Reset all identifiers: EEPROM Reset to factory settings
